An easy Jetsled full of the the good two year old dry for each stove on any nite lately , pile getting smaller.

Below Zero , dueling Vigilants on each floor .... quite warm for the most part , still refuse to use the oil furnace

Kindling , I save out and use dead mostly lower lower limbs , break them down and have them in boxes for restarts. Air dried old Spruce is best , always have a box of Birch bark saved out as well ... the combination is quickest way to go from from cold to comfort

I heat with two Vigilant's , a house built in 1962 ... Plenty drafty , I guess there's more than enough fresh air coming outside to inside.

Yep those old school Vermont Castings mechanical contolled dampners are awesome. My Tempwoods were manual , you have to pay attention. .... nobody wants a Chimney Fire

I have made my two underneaths out of old steel wagon wheels , crushed stone , flat stones , and concrete ... Does make it safer for front doors operations.
