You know your stuff but just picking nits here, a snipe wouldn't help because the saw body is up toward the top of the face/the side cover is laying on the floor of the face, and a snipe is on the bottom so wouldn't yield extra room, would it? Only cutting the face steeper/higher would help and...

Dang, sideways sucks! Yes thats what I did. If the face were taller I could have shoved the saw in deeper but I tend to avoid tall faces :thumbup:

Dang, I cut a rock maple musta been just shy of 6' diameter with a 28" bar today. Sweet gutted hinge and just a tad holding on each side. Had to give it a push with the kubota because despite the max gutted hinge there were still a couple inches in the center that couldnt be reached. I can't...
