HitchHiker: DRT Switch and Basic Use

Finally tried out the HH yesterday. It was used on Escalator rope. It worked great. To advance the HH, I used my lanyard over the shoulder and clipped it at an angle so it was around the bridge ring and supplied carabiner. Only tried the HH SRT but will try dDRT someday. Thumbs up to the HH.

HitchHiker: DRT Switch and Basic Use

Thanks Nick. Will try it out with 6 tight wraps to start and will most likely use the "lanyard over the shoulder" thing.

HitchHiker: DRT Switch and Basic Use

Thanks guys. Would 7 wraps be considered "tight"? Also Nick, is Jamie's ascent system posted somewhere here in the Treehouse?

Looking forward to giving his HH a try. I might have to re-watch some of Nick's cool videos and bug Adam to gain some tips.

HitchHiker: DRT Switch and Basic Use

You are wealth of knowledge sir. Adam does have all 3 of those and is always willing to share. :D The RW seems to work really well, but the Unicender doesn't float my boat. I'm going to have to revisit the HH again. Maybe some more playing around with it will finally make me call up Treestuff.

HitchHiker: DRT Switch and Basic Use

Yet another great review. Thanks Nick. I've been tempted to purchase a HH but have been on the fence a bit between the HH, Rope Wrench, and a Unicender. Am going to have to give more thought to the HH.
