The New Offical Mutts of the House thread

By deliberately disobeying you are being influenced just as much as if you'd done as you were told. The essence of true personal freedom is to do exactly what you were going to do anyway without caring what the other person thinks of your choice.

    In The News...

I have a female friend who met her now husband ten years ago at 17, when he was 22. He was her teacher for 6-7 months at the time. Do you think he should be prosecuted and if so for what? I don't know exactly when they started their relationship and it's none of my business. Definitely illegal...

    Tree felling vids

Sure, as long as you cut the hinge up thin enough. Actually if the hinge was left too thick with the silly step back cut thingy it would still barberchair.

Anyone in a band or play an instrument?

You have to be much more accurate with your finger placement, with a fretted instrument you always aim for close to the fret, but it doesn't matter too much where you put the fingertip. With no frets every note you play is going to be flat or sharp unless you get it spot on, lines or no lines. I...

    Allergy Elimination

Sounds interesting, I am naturally sceptical but try to approach things with an open mind. On the subject of controlling aspects of your physiology that are generally considered outside of conscious control, have you read anything by or about Wim Hof? His book is called Becoming the Iceman...

    Do your Aerial Rescue training!

As far as our British training and certification goes, the answer to all 4 is yes. Lowering equipment can and should be used when the climbers own line is damaged or unusable. On the first question, you could use the grcs but keep the casualty attached to their climbing line. Changeovers have...

    What's your job and why?

Nothing wrong with a casserole, bit of beef skirt, some half decent ale, some home made beef stock, and some veggies and you've got a real tasty winter treat. Pop some dumplings on top half an hour before the end, one of my all time favourite winter meals.
