    How'd it go today?

We finished it and I’m still alive! Thankfully day 2 was crane work. Had the young guy do the climbing portion and I did the rest with the bucket. Interesting tree, probably less than 100 years old, 1/2”-3/4” rings. The cavity went all the way to the ground but was filled to half way with...

    How'd it go today?

First day climbing a real tree since my surgery a month ago now. Maybe 120’, big limbs, bit not a lot as it had been pruned in the past. Has a habit of dropping stuff on the house so it’s gots to go. I spent a couple hours in the bucket and the the rest of the day climbing. We got it stripped...

    How'd it go today?

I’m finally feeling good enough to walk around with garden and do some joinery work on the treehouse railing posts. I’ve weaned myself down to 1/4 of a pill every 4hrs, and I think I’ve found the right mix of fiber and laxatives 🙄. I can poo on the toilet instead of having to lay in the bath🤮.by...

The New Offical Mutts of the House thread

My last doggo, Mouse. He was a rescue from Salinas. Clipped ears, beat up knees, worn down teeth (presumably from being kenneled and trying too chew his way out). We took him home and got his skin healed up, but there wasn’t much we could do about his knees short of expensive surgery. He was a...

    How'd it go today?

I’m 47 and not especially high as far as risk factors go. My grandfather passed from prostate cancer at 82, and my mom survived breast cancer 15 years ago. Definitely something I didn’t want to put off for too long. Colonoscopy was no problem. It was the hemorrhoid operation. There are 3 veins...

    How'd it go today?

I went in to get a routine colonoscopy on Wednesday. I’ve had a periodic hemorrhoid for a long time. “ we can take care of that while we’re in there if you want.” Great. Failed to mention potential weeks of intense pain 🫣. Currently trying to stay sane and get through this without becoming...

I do like the red. It sounds like rock might be into doing periodic special colors this time around too. So maybe lots of cool colors!

    How'd it go today?

One or two seconds. Pretty quick. Of course there’s always going to be dependent on factors like soil, moisture, and average size and density of the plants being pulled. I’m guessing that moving from plant to plant and piling/hauling them will eat a lot of time.
