Plan to girth dead eye through both loops and tighten them , then hang Block , haven't really checked w Yale Specs but 2×3/8" should add up to good sling material and feel comfortable ... rating may be an industry special thing
Retired from Line Company two double loop adjustable 3/8 Yale Slings , a heavier looking dead eye with chafe sleeve. I guess doubles are perfect for Transformers though my buddy said they only hoisted cross masts with them. Will use ... also the splicing is very well done.
The other question besides the Ratio choice on the Harken is the Speed choice on the Milwaukee ... Would high speed be preferable ? , signed ... Never Thought I'd Use The Drill
Since most of the forward work isn't that long mostly under 100' thinking since I hang a block anyway might as well add another at the hitch and anchor one line end above the block at the Tree , Double Line
Not sure if my drill is exactly right , decent size Milwaukee is what I'm trying out first. Question for drill run , is the 22 or 44 option still in play or just run everything off the drill on the easiest ?
I need one now as I'm using the Winch more often. Question is which one to buy ?? A few cheap ones out there $30 or so , Gregg Good's is $65 but looks maybe better stronger steel ... Anyone with any opinions. ?? Saving Shekels is good but if the more expensive is better ... thanks in advance...
