Past few winters I've been wearing 5mil nitrile gloves under insulated grippy gloves. The vapor proof layer really seems to help. I almost never work below 20°F though. At that point mittens with hand warmers are the only option for me
I don't use a clove hitch on anything I couldn't manage by hand, and even then pretty rarely.
Once saw an 8' oak log roll out and land maybe 10-15 feet away from the guy running rope. Its bad for dynamic use!
Anthracnose is my guess too. That's what my guess for an east coast sycamore would br anyways. Lots of big mature sycamores that have that same look over here. Seemingly very slow to cause major problems
Attempted some front end work on my VW. Every single bolt was a huge fiasco. Got a few new parts on, but only about half of what I was planning to do. Just a real ball breaking day. Figured I'd just get it back together and drive it to a mechanic.
The clunk noise I was trying to fix is gone...
Definitely got it blowing smoke and running rich. Cranked out LA adjuster till it almost fell out, and it was still running puking smoke. Sprocket kept spinning though.
Im thinking the clutch springs are worn out maybe?
I'm on a virgin bloody Mary kick right now. Can of v8, 2 teaspoons of horseradish, Worcestershire, black pepper, Tabasco, and some dilly beans!
A little bite to replace the booze during the weekday evenings
Plus all that sodium hits the spot on these hot summer days
