I think somewhere above I mentioned that when I went to the walk in and basically said I feel wrecked, they said do you work outside? I said yes and basically without further adieu they gave me the Docycline perscription. No testing etc, worked out fine
IME ticks seem to be very seasonal as well as heavier some years than others. They can be a bit heavy in spring and fall and seem to be rare in the summer and winter.
One thing we all agree on is you don't want to get lyme but if you check regularly for ticks I think that helps alot.
Yo even though it's been described nicely above, I had to go out to my workbench and use a couple pieces of cord with mini biners serving as shackles and try to choke a water bottle as the log to try understand it. It took me at least 5 min to figure it out but I think I got it. Seems quick...
