Thanks Paul! I usually dont worry much about little things like this until it is a big problem. I have a new climbing line though and wanted to make sure before I used it with the RW.
I like it much better than the Zk-1. I just hope I can figure out if its the pulley that's a little sharp or what it is! I really want to use it. I was about to put it on brand new 150' Vortex but already had an older 120' section in the tree so I used it. I am wondering if the rope is flatened...
Well got my first climb on the ISC RW. I am climbing on Vortex 12.7mm with 10mm bee line, ABR stiff tether, and Ct fixed pulley. First climb tended like a dream of course! Only once I had to manually reset the Wrench when had my basal anchor untied and girth hitched the spar. Also loved how...
It is a CT pulley. Looking at the reviews Cary from Canada said he loved this pulley for the RW. So I thought I would give her a try. I have a HC as well.
Havent tried the Zk-2 yet. Both are good tools. I use the HH mostly because I do mainly do removals and I like how I can girth hitch to the trunk when blocking down a spar. Easy transition to Drt, fairly easy to tend, almost no sit back when hitch is nice and tight. Rw self tends which I really...
Tempted to try the Zk-2 as well Charles. I am afraid if I buy one today next week their will be Zk-3 or HH-2! I have the Zk-1 and enjoyed using it especially when tending it is effortless. The HH actualy tends pretty well on my Vortex with the Beeline 10mm.
Hey Arborlicious, welcome to the house! My name is Mark. I started with the Zk-1 as well and I now use the HH. Both are great tools for Srt IMO. I do miss using the RW and may purchase the Zk-2 in the future. Glad you enjoyed reading this thread. This is forum has lots of good info and people...
That is one solid tether on the RW! literally. Nice work! I have been wanting to redo my tether with a spring in the center. A guy on Arbtalk made one and I was really impressed with it's performance on his video.
I find once the HH is dialed in on Vortex even with the supplied B-line it runs smooth after break in. Haven't noticed a problem with it binding on descent. My next order I will have to try the 8mm AP.
