New tether from wesspur just showed up! A little smaller/ narrower and fits like a glove. Seems like it'll take a lot of slop out of it especially when I use it ddrt. I'll have to double check it but I'm sure it'll fit the hh1 too.
Had my tether get stuck on my hh2 again today and locked everything up. I emailed wesspur the other day and they are offering a new shorter tether for sale for the hh2 now, in case anyone is interested
I'm really enjoying your vids and how you're actually talking thru things. I got halfway thru the second one now and am gonna pick up where I left off now. Keep em coming!
I think I've tried pretty much every cord out there trying to work out my frustrations with the hh. Epicord is the first to actually impress me this much as far as binding and slack tending on a stock setup without a pulley
Cougar blue and yale aztec. I've been using the epicord on the aztec tho for the last 2 weeks or so. Cougar is my long line but I haven't needed it lately. I also just got some cevian unicore from wesspur but haven't spent enough time on it to say if I like it or not. It is prob the most static...
has anyone here ever tried the cevian unicore rope? I don't ever hear anyone talking about it but wesspur sells it and they say the ascension group uses it. its listed at 11mm but other sites have it at 11.5mm so im curious now.
finally got around to trying out that new epi cord yesterday, used the 9.3mm on Aztec and I was impressed! I tied the hh hitch tight and I tied it loose and it worked great every time with no fuss and no binding up. very smooth but its a new cord on used rope so we'll see once it gets broken in...
Old mill I saw the pic u posted on arbtalk and it looked like u had 8mm beeline? 8mm in anything doesn't seem to work for me. I've really liked the 10mm original beeline on cougar blue and just got some 9.3mm epicord to try
Ha! It happens! If u use a chest harness u could leave it attached and pull slack straight down as u climb up. Doesn't solve ur issue but it's another option
Ever since I went to a loose tether I've had no issues with the biner turning. It slides up and pulls from the top everytime. Also with a tight tether if it happens to slide down the spine a little it stays there and causes the biner to turn.
Here's my new favorite hitch. It's the same HH hitch except instead of running the last leg over the first, u run it under. Less fighting of the hitch to get off the ground, doesn't bind on descent, and grabs well since both legs are now captured it doesn't have to be tied super tight which...
