I found on the kasks they have 2 predrilled holes for the visor. I just drilled the mic mount and put a small zip tie in. Been holding for 4 months now!! These units have really streamlined our operation. No more screaming is a blessing!
'twas very nice with the comms today, chipper is down currently and we are loading brush with the log trailer into the dump trailer. I was able to tell my guys what to cut and move. All while staying in constant motion loading!
I just popped off the outside part of the muff. Drilled a small hole and notched the edged out to match the hole. Insert wire and reinstall outside of muff. Pretty easy really!
I disagree Butch. Having the ability to talk to everyone in a high noise environment is great. Yes you have to listen to the bs some. But the key moments are what make this system valuable.
I had trouble with mine linking when I was adding my 3rd in. I was pushing the buttons to link intercom Nd waiting for them to link. Realized that I had to start them in pairing mode and then push one button to pair them.

I don't notice the weight of the radio, nor an unbalance on the kask. I put my old set on petzl helmets. Initially it was weighted to the rear. So I adjusted everything and it seemed better.
I'm particularly impressed with the phone call quality. I was grinding stumps and called my friend just to see how bad it was. He asked me if I was driving in my truck... I was 2.5 feet from a wide open Carlton grinder!
I could hardly hear myself talking, he didn't hear any background noise!
