Ha ha that's a good one Butch.
I have a real hard time with those ISA cats. One saw aerial use course I did with one of these "qualified instructors" he told me "Willard not everyone can one hand a top handle saw like you".
I replied "well those pencil necks are in the wrong trade then" ha ha .
I just tap the sawdust out of the front mounted air filter everyday and it's good to go.
Yes these new editions are good and I don't have the lasted model with the extra compression.
4years now and still runjing strong with no issues what so ever. It needs the dual exhaust outlet nmuffler mod...
When you find and support a good dealer [find the ones that sell boats, motorcycles, quads etc.] it's petty cash to them. Good service is how they do business and they are hoping you will one day buy a boat and motor too. Their distributer will back them up too if they are good dealer.
Most...
Just to add,
I fail to see why your 540 wasn't replaced by your dealer after you had all that trouble. Dealers here even replace lemons for homeowners, no questions asked. The saw ends up getting sent back to Husqvarna and refurbished as a demo or sold off.
Almost sounds like your Stihl/Husky...
Just a little tweaking sometimes is all it takes. I think like a lot of guys who have a couple of spares of the same model they tend to throw the ones that need a little attention on the back of the shelve and sometimes end up using them for parts.
I never have a spare saw of the same...
if you go to our TreeHouse chainsaw forum there's a 020 thread back a few pages that has those numbers and lots of discussion.
Actually I went back to 3/8 LoPro on my 338XPT, I'm running the new Stihl Picco chisel PS chain.
Very impressed with it.
Now Oregon and Husqvarna must get on board with...
Justin, now that I thought more of your saw.....I think I'll pass, it seems you running it has cursed this saw....kinda like the Exorcist or Christine.
Besides I've never bought a used saw before anyways.......and I always had good karma with my saws :P
Hey us Canucks take wood cutting seriously, that's how we pioneered this big country....and still pioneering it .:)
We always had a Stihl vs Husqvarna thing. Husqvarna's came on board years later after Andreas Stihl rented a car in Winnipeg, Manitoba and headed west to promote his trunk full of...
Justin you still haven't answered my question , seeing it's on warranty did your dealer send it back to Husqvarna Canada?
They should replace the saw if necessary. ......would have saved you all these months of ranting about it.
Almost sounds like you've been doing some promotion work for...
It appears your 20 year tech can't get the handle on your AutoTune warranty issues. That saw should have sent right back to Husqvarna Canada.
Your 540 is impossible to fix according to you and you seem happy to slam any crediability of the saw whenever you get the chance and revert back to the...
Justin, let me take that 540 off your hands seeing "it's not coming back from the shop". Did you whine enough that your dealer gave your money back
Seriously I'll give you fair coin for what it's worth to you..................give me a price snd post some pics of it please.
From over the years that I have mentored and taught chainsaw courses I quickly came to realize the biggest whiners who complained about the reliability of a certain chainsaw. ....couldn't properly maintain the saw themselves. Not even being able to properly adjust the carb which was way beyond...
Ported? Do you mean cylinder port modifications or just a muffler mod? Also how much modifications does your 200 have?
If your 540 had cylinder mods that may explain your problems. Even the best saw builders can make a slip of the grinding tool and produce a saw with less power then it had out...
That was my concern of the 540, stop and go aerial cutting......leave it idling hanging on the saddle ?
Im going to wait another season before I buy my 540. The 550XP's I have are slow to warm up and boggy but my 2 year old 562xp doesn't have that issue . Very quick warmup to smooth WOT.
We'll have to wait a few more years for saws to be equipped with fuel injection only then can I see any improvement. Their being tested as we speak.
How many carbs do we see on our vehicles today?
Saw a stump grinder the other day with a 27hp Kohler gas with fuel injection.
