Markets vary, here and everywhere. Most climbers have established relationships with a number of different companies that they juggle to suit all parties.

    Contract climber rate?

The blackhole of contract climber rates. I've always told climbers asking about rates to try and align themselves with the other professional trades(electrician, plumber, tiler etc) in their area. These trades typically require X amount of work hours plus sometime spent at the trades school...

    How'd it go today?

I don't have a machine of that nature. There are a couple of small tractors with front end loader buckets that neighbors own and that I have borrowed a time or two over the years. But this area is down in the riparian flat alongside the little creek we have, and is still fairly well treed with...

Springy! No precip. Some fog. Might work in a jacket, but be a bit sweaty. Wind exposed areas fir projects.

The whole story is actually hilarious, and slightly tragic. Much better than a hacky AI image.

So, you heard it snowed in Florida right? Since moving to the middle of the state, we are enjoying the temperature change. The snow was about an hour or so from us but the temperature here went below freezing 😳 (just for a little bit!) We covered our plants with plastic and blankets, all but one...

Nice. I put on a couple of saw trainings for the NPS there a number of years ago to help them stand up a training program of their own.

    How'd it go today?

With this splendid weather that @SeanKroll mentions, M and I have been working at clearing/cleanup of the giant windthrown cottonwood. Making progress. Plenty more to go but getting there a bit at a time. It really is looking much better in the areas we have worked on.

Spring Weather! The new guy has been good. Hopefully, he'll be back next week. He's has some jobs of his own for 2 weeks. In April, he's headed to work at Mt. Rainier for a 9th season, this time on trail crew.

    Contract climber rate?

The bigger guys here doing ROW will advertise 500.00 per diem. Often flip the travel and hotel/food bill. But, those are 10-12 hour days with hardly trained grounds people. Bennies too. If you live.

    Contract climber rate?

When folks ask if I know what I'm doing, I now reply with "I saw a YouTube video once." Or " You can learn anything off YouTube now." That said, I now work for a company with a triple platinum reputation, who's reputation proceeds them, and who maintains clients for literal decades. These are...

    How'd it go today?

Hang every thief. Preferably after they are quartered by the largest draft horses available. What's left should be dumped into septic tanks, and forgotten.
