I frequently was not eye to eye with his policy positions, but I never doubted the strength of his character, nor his commitment to try to always work towards a better USA. We are less than we were, without his voice. Been a damn long time since I mourned the passing of a politician.

Yes ma'am. Not to get political here...but Trump really showed his colors in the way he repeatedly dissed McCain. That was a sad way to treat a man like him. Back to the regular programming, now.

First?...I reckon it was Dolly Parton. Tiny little venue in a suburb of Atlanta, GA in the early 1970's. Seated maybe 75. Man, she could work a crowd...plus sing like an angel. She's old like me these days, ought to give it up, like I have :D.

Sorry, Butch...but that is lame-ass. The technical aspect of his playing isn't the genius...it's the meld of early influences and evolving a new genre that makes Berry a genius. Let alone his unusual skill at lyrics. If you don't see and understand that, well...self described mediocre is...

I've always liked a phrase turned by my grandfather, something along the lines of..."the papers don't make the dog worth anything, but the dog can make the papers worth quite a lot".
