Yup, just sitting in the park waiting for me. They tried to use them to delineate a trail after some bogus removals. As I thought some kids kicked them down the hill into the gulley. I plan on milling them on site and pay my neighbor a plank/slab to help carry out the rest. Nobody oughta...

Pulled the trigger last night on buying a granger g776-36 alaskan chainsaw mill. Says it will slab 32 inches wide. 225 bones, Stoked. I've got my eye on a few pine logs in the park next door to slab up.

Jay, the rollers are not on the bottom of the jig against the milled slab, but rather on the far side of the jig near the saw handle to allow the lap over of the jig to roll along the bracing rail that runs down the log. I hope that makes sense. I'll try to get pictures at some point.

Aye, Wally. Thank you. I just read the manual. It's easily upgradeable to the two sided one. The kits build on one another. Looking forward to some fun or at least some planks. At work we have the alaskan mill, more of a no brainer to me. If it fits inside just cut. This one sided jig...

Well, Jay. The jig arrived today. Just reading the manual and there are rollers on the bottom and instructions to build a wooden guide rail to roll it along. So, it says to take the dogs off and mount this jig. The bar shouldn't reach past 4" from the jig itself. Limiting my width to about...

Awesome table, Great thread. I got to run the loader today in the Log Dump, Basically fetching logs to be (alaskan) milled. I took a mess of pictures today, easy day. Those 8-10' twinkies are for some benches we're making for some campground. Then I believe another 4" slab will be attached...

Awesome thread. We mill at work a bit with an alaskan mill. It's the largest size, we run an 88 on it. Right now we need something like 40 log benches, bit of milling coming up.
