Probably. They've already rebuilt some of the massive dam tear outs that we did

I have a LOT of video of work we have done lately...a lot at the farm. Here is all I have had time to edit. This is Alex bushwhacking to get to the big beaver dam that we eventually breached. More to come as I get to editing.

Here is a quick video of where we took down a leaning tree at Alex's house. This gum was slowly breaking. I planned to hang it from a nearby big pine and cut it from the bottom as we used a portawrap to lower it. Alex said, "nah". We were able to grab, hold and get it away from the shop...

I have been negligent...@stikine just called me out. The first 2 days we had the excavator were crazy busy. I got lots of picts and video but haven't had time to mess with it. We did a lot of different stuff...dredging, moving spar chunks and concrete pipe, grading, cutting a 1/2 mile road...

I am all about Sneakers...loves sneakin'. I remember re-discovering Chuck Taylor Converse All Stars in my 30's...could not believe they still made them. And they STILL do!

We picked up our excavator with the thumb now installed. They also mounted the TAG Quick Connect to the mulcher head and tuned the pressures for the head...showed us how to run it. We did our first real work with it today...took it to a friend's house (our Boy Scoutmaster, friend from way...

Great info there...thanks for passing that along. I'll hash it out with Alex. I had wondered about ricochets off trees...sounds like it is a real thing. How is the Lexan holding up in terms of scratching and being hard to see through? 3/8" or 1/2"? I was considering putting a Lexan shield...

Good input. I had figured to have it mounted in front of the factory glass about an inch or so... As I remember it there's a standoff it could be mounted to pretty easily. But I wondered about the scratching aspect of it also and the fog that would develop. One of Alex's firefighters is a glass...

online lexan is about $300 per 4'x8' sheet. I figure my cab front is about 42" wide. I'll have to research some to figure what thickness would be best.

We asked for shatterproof...they said it is not available (at least not from Takeuchi). The sales guy or someone told me that some folks get their own lexan and put it over the factory glass. How is yours set up? Did it come with ballistic front window? In theory, my mulcher throws stuff to...

    Excavators

How much do they weigh? My mulcher head is almost 1,000 lbs. Some folks use a 9-10K for that mulcher head. An attachment specialist recommended a minimum size for a 1000lb head to be a 12k machine. My original plan was to get a Takeuchi TB260...a 12,645lb machine. They were basically...

The very first page I randomly turned to told me the proper way to hoist the mini....47 degree spread if from blade to boom and 30 degrees if side to side. You can be sure I will work hard to remember those numbers. And the manual is only 407 pages!! The parts manual is 1283 pages.

I'm pretty sure it is set to CAT controls right now. The fellow that delivered it couldn't confirm which way it was but I think it's CAT and not John Deere. I do know there's a mechanical switch in the floor to swap between the two. I figured it would be a software switch but it's a mechanical...

I don't know, Scott. AC, heat, running a mulching head and not getting slammed and slathered with crap flying around everywhere...I'm counting on the cab saving me some misery. We'll see. If I start hating I'll let you know. :D
