Dave, you like to call me a shoemaker for some reason. I'm not one, I mostly do woodwork.... kind of sophisticated of one sort or another. Maybe you think I make wooden shoes? Anyway, just thought I'd better inform... I've done a number of mods, but I wouldn't call myself a pro. Most of the...

I'd be interested in learning what degree of modification is getting accomplished in that amount of time. Piston work, turning down the jug base, I doubt is included. Polishing a port takes some time after grinding. Working quantities would save time per, but a full mod in the duration of a...

I think that you are way overestimating your set-up costs with the second figure....maybe with the first too. The hand power tools and a lathe are unavoidable....a mill lesser so I believe, but you want one. You are working in a limited space when modifying a jug, there aren't a lot of things...

A basic work mod isn't all that interesting of things to do, most of it simply comes down to removing metal, usually with a grinder, then polishing or not. Yes, a bit of some finer work too, like on a lathe, timing checks, or adding an outlet to the muffler... If you've done a lot of them, I...

A complete mod; porting and piston work, lowering the cylinder, can be done in a day. Two days is more practical.

Can I get a translation here? I get the 10 tanks part.

Same here, I've been meaning to run it dry. Pretty much due to a big slowdown in work, rather than not appropriate for the trees we have.

What's the cc on that Jonesy? Nice looking saw. Like those clips for popping the cover, a page from Husky or vice versa. Carb pumps....I dunno...one extra step.

Nick, why bother yourself over something that you have no control over?

You don't hear about the ones who got pitched while wearing a harness. The news about the more shocking things is generally preferred over the better outcomes, at least in the media.

Same with the chainsaw lanyard that has the break away pack. There is an up and a down for some reason.

That seems cheap for a harness, but I guess it's a considerably simpler affair than a saddle? Maybe the fact that it was purchased off of ebay......

That's a nice looking adjustable wrench. It would be cool to have a good one, if there is such a thing.

I wonder if those tapers have been somehow mathematically deduced as being appropriate, or someone just looks at them and thinks, "This is about right"?

Another option would be to have a compressor at home, and just get a separate tank with a hose attached. Fill it at home and take it to the jobsite, without need for electricity. Enough air and pressure to blow out your filters.

Party pooper :P Probably would suffice for air filters, is what I was thinking.... maybe turning your coffee into a latte.

Heck if I know, but that's what the ad says. :/: It blows up at 301psi.
