    Cops thread

This coming from a guy who disses the U.S. on a daily basis and refuses to stand for the Anthem. To quote a famous old line…”You’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything…” The perp was BEATING people with a bike lock. That warrants MAKING him stop. I have no issue with deadly...

    Break-in rope

I keep a spool on hand. I use Arbor Plex almost every day. Never had a 200’ piece though. I use a 75’ piece the most. Also have two AP climb lines…a 75’ and a 120’.

“Least price sensitive” he said…..I thought I held that slot! 🤣

    Cops thread

I’ll chime in only to say that while the collateral death is tragic, but I think it’s time we took our streets back. There are entirely too many idiots…whether naturally-occurring idiocy…or chemically-induced idiocy. They need to understand their actions will incur consequences, perhaps fatal...

What's Your Favorite Saw You Own?

What’s the issue with the 201? I thought they had the bugs worked out? I’ve run Carl’s a few times and liked it. Don’t know that I’ll ever need one unless all my 200s die young.

    Ultra vs whoopie sling

I reached out to Nick. He said it’s just a locked Brummell with an end-to-end bury to finish it off. The pic above hides it. It’s visible in this pic if you look closely.

    Ultra vs whoopie sling

Wasn’t sure where to post this query…I’m wanting to make up a couple of “loop” ring rigs, but I’m unsure of how to terminate the ends. I’ve studied pics but can’t figure out how they do it. Thoughts?

Subbed to get ‘em down. Cleanup is on the landscapers! They have an excavator and skid-steer.

    How'd it go today?

Started a 3-4 day job today that I bid the week before I broke my collarbone. I was in significantly better shape 14 weeks ago than I am now! Got the first four down, (pines), two of which were 95’ and 100’ respectively. Swung from the 100’-er to its 80’ neighbor and rigged it down from a block...

    Think it’ll work?!

I agree with Sean....anyone who can't untie a bowline has issues.... As for knotless rigging....I swap ends, run through rings/blocks, and often drop un-needed ropes from the tree. Hence, a carabiner or snap would not be in my best interest. Not to mention the risk of damage to the hardware when...

Could be optical illusion, but it looks like the front header is already sagging a bit. Definitely want more support for snow load!

You don’t what? Rig out big pieces…or wonder what folks use who do? 😆

    Ultra vs whoopie sling

Meh…I’m good! I’d have to go to my big CMI steel block to use a 1” sling!

    Ultra vs whoopie sling

That was my interpretation as well, Kyle, but I’m wondering what in the world folks use when they rig out 3k# pieces? I’ve heard folks claim as much as 3500# logs negative rigged. My biggest rigging stuff is 3/4” Tenex, though I do have a 1” Tenex eye sling I made for pulling stuff. If the...
