Blizzard warning for the pass level and above (4000' ish), which is much less common than a heavy snow advisory. Snow to be measured in feet, not inches. Due over the next few days. Gonna be cold. Here at my location forecast in the low teens for a few days. Could get up to a foot of snow...

Same here. Our little creek is making gurgles, which swells my heart. For the first time ever in the +45 years we have lived on this property, I think we might have some patches of lawn that actually have died from the heat and multi-year drought, over this summer. Like most western...

There might be one that would have brought me there, but there wouldn't be one that kept me there longer than it took to load her stuff and her sweet self in my truck and beat a hasty retreat :D.

Smoky here the last couple of days. No fires real close, just regional stuff collecting. Forecast to blow out tomorrow sometime in the afternoon. Been much cooler yesterday and today than earlier in the week and before. Upper 40's at night, upper 70's daytime highs.

Nasty conditions for outdoor work. John, you maybe should consider replacing your grass with some other ground cover, since you dislike it as you do. You could go all southwestern on it...rocks, gravels, boulders, all in an artful mix. No water required, and no mowing :).
