    How'd it go today?

Good day again work wise. Well except that I’m still here. I was supposed to off a half hour ago because I’m going out of town for a long weekend with the family. Luckily I can see my house from the job.

    How'd it go today?

Chilly is a good term for those temps. I still don’t like being chilly though.

    How'd it go today?

Grade changes, weed eater damage, and just plain crappy trees that never stood a chance after the allotment was built 30-40 years ago

...climbing. That worked out with minimal turf damage. Last we scoped out a cottonweed removal for tomorrow. Also laid out our runway for the mini skid. Going to be 19*F in the morning. I may or may not be the one climbing😆. Got home, ate dinner, amd played a game with the kids. It was a good day

    How'd it go today?

Pretty good day even though none of us were in the mood to be back at work. Four easy smaller removals and then off to oak prunes. Chipper gave us some fits with running. Mechanic was out and went over a bunch of things that I already checked, hooked his fancy expensive computer up and still...

    How'd it go today?

Pretty typical Sunday here. Burt some paperwork and more scrap from my log splitting. Set a bunch of huge silver maple cookies on as well. Ended up splitting and stacking for a bit. I was surprised that my neighbor was out building a hay shed in the horse pasture this morning. With rain moving...

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

That sucks Stig. Our clearing crew is still working but if we get much more rain they will be on hold till the ground stiffens back up.

What Non Essential Gear Do You Think Is Worth Owning?

Love my monkey beaver suspenders. First saddle I had with them but I’ll never go without again. I’m with @Kaveman. I climb with very little on my harness. My climbing system, lanyard system, a few loop runners, and a couple extra carabiners. Hand saw and chain saw as well. Anything bigger than...

    Options For Manually Moving Material?

I was thinking a U bolt so it could drop down out of the way but I like Rajan’s idea better. Quicker tie down and release

    The anatomy of crane picks

Know when to quit digging. Mr Girard is someone I have met, shared a table with, and give a lot of respect to. When he offers advise on crane rigging, one should accept that advise.

8 point Jim? What type of deer do you get out there. We’re all white tail here.

Deva, you are a different breed. Great pics btw. That crane going over has so many things wrong. Looks to me that they were way over loaded. That piece also looked like it would’ve planed out if not flipped had they been able to lift it.

    How'd it go today?

Slept in a few hours today. Than made a big breakfast that my M-I-L and her husband joined us for. Had Thanksgiving dinner with my side of the family at my mom’s this afternoon. Going to her Dad’s tomorrow followed by one last turkey dinner Saturday evening with close friends.
