I understood, Stig. I misled you with the point I made about using 40 gallons a year, I think. That was just to show it will be easy to rotate out the 5 gallons or so of stabilized fuel I will keep on hand, dedicated to the generator alone.

No worries, my friend. I don't completely discount your thoughts on it, but I did do quite a lot of research first, not only into the generators, but into WEN as well. I don't think the situation there is nearly as bleak as you paint it. Time will tell, of course.

Sorry John, I missed your post. I looked at Generac, Yamaha, Honda, and a long list of lesser brands. Spent the most time researching these first three and the WEN. Honda is very good, top of the market...but to get something similar in output to the WEN I chose would cost 3 times as much...

Kyle, I think the 2350 is the newer model. I rather suspect it's priced cheaper because it's built a little cheaper.

One potential downside to any of these smaller WEN generators that is very easy to overlook unless you read the owners manual closely...the 2250 requires a change of carb jet for operation at elevations 3000 to 6000 feet, and a different jet for 6000 to 8000. It's not a hard job to do, but...
