    Demonstration

My son has shown most of my helpers how to tie a Bowline. He learned when he was 4. I find having him show them kinda speeds up the process.

    Demonstration

I did the same thing Willie. I brought the mini with a couple big Oak logs the show the kids how we manage large wood after a removal. My son jumped on the machine with me and showed them all how he could run it. It was fun. I handed out tube trees at the end, with my biz card inside, and told...

18 degrees and 22" snow on the ground. Expecting another 8. Trees busted up everywhere. Getting to them is another problem.

Profitability of buying a bucket truck

I couldn't use a bucket on 65% of my jobs. Too big too heavy and the people I work for just don't want them on their property. Those occasions I choose a lift, it is a TZ50. Not fast, but keeps me safe from climbing a stone dead tree. Get a Wraptor.

Oil Spill triage kit. What do you carry?

Agreed. I keep the mats in the truck anyway for under the saws. My biggest concern about a spill is if a line blows while the chipper is running and your back is turned. At that point, it's too late anyway. If some thing suddenly starts dropping, it's sand and Pigmats, then off to repair it...

    Cold? We are hiring!

For that Tucker, you'd get the average $17. He's a CDL driver with 16 yrs tree exp. mostly sober and drug free. He doesn't waste time either.

That would be me Butch. I am one expensive MF too.

    Cold? We are hiring!

Expense is relative. It's expensive here too, but my groundie gets $30/hr. Great opportunity V!

    Mulching your saws?

I use Pig may under a plastic draining material. Basically sections of milk crate. I change the mats quarterly.
