I just sent my drum kit to my brother's so my 18 year old nephew can jam with his buddies. I've had them for 30 years, hopefully enjoys them for another 30. I never said I was giving them as a gift but would prefer if he found a reason to keep them there.
I know sweet F.A. about guitar playing but the arrangement of notes as you came back to the next verse reminded me of those b+w Jimmy Rodgers videos/on YouTube.
Now you need a stand so you can shake your moneymaker while you play them.
That Cajon would make a nice end table even if you didn't play it very often.
Looks good. I've never had my hi-hats walk on me before. I've put 50lbs in my kickdrum though and it still moved until I ran a 2x4 on the floor to hold it in place.
Can you adjust the height of your throne on the fly like an office chair?
I hope it wasn't a $300 snare! I seen a few sold locally online at $130 which makes me feel bad enough considering the pedal wasn't worth more than $30 in my mind. Maybe his wife was applying pressure to liquidate. Either way I'm the winner on this one.
Traded a Yamaha kick pedal for a birch Yamaha Stage Custom snare today. I told the guy I got the better end of the deal and he agreed but went with it anyway. He wanted a chain drive pedal and I had a belt drive to offer so I told him we could trade back if he wasn't happy. I hope he's happy...
$150. You can change the tone just by spinning the drum on the threaded mount. I never knew that.
He had a little 6" roto tom on it's own stand but I didn't think it was worth the $50.
There was probably 15 % over 40 and 95% male which is typical of any metal show I've been to.
The first time we went to see COC a few years back we weren't expecting the drummer because he had an alcoholic seizure in Edmonton but managed to sober up enough for the Wpg show which was nice cause...
My first time for earplugs. It was kinda nice, eliminated a bunch of stage "noise".
COC was awesome. Receding hairlines and wrinkled skin but still kicking ass! The drum tech had to fill in, I hear the drummer might like the booze a bit too much....
