I use NOAA everday also. I found Weatherunderground recently. They have bar graphs for 10 day for wind, precip, clouds, and temp. Makes it easy to see trends. I will check weatherbug. I think the local tv channel weather promotes it.
Beautiful for this time of year. Sunny, mid 40s, and calm. Think I will get the bike out for one last ride. Been too busy to ride to much this year. I should be slowing down at 72, right? I guess its good to keep moving.
High 30s. 25 mph wind gusting 40. Power was off this morning before light. They had it back on 40 minutes later.
They finally got off their dead asses and got the bunch of dead ash that used to take the power out every time the wind blew. They knew right where to go when it went out. Job...
The new one are getting worse by the year. Full of gimmicky unnecessary crap that breaks and take things away like grease fittings, dipsticks, keys that don't go dead and strand you etc. etc.
Trying to grease front end on my winter drive. 2003 Tahoe. All not bad to get to til I got to the pitman arm and idler. Figured I would change fittings to right angle. Fittings did not want to budge, so I struggled til I got things in the right position so I could loop the hose up and over...
My bud brought one of those back from Texas in the late 70s. He bought it from a small airport that had used it to tow planes and carry tools. Nice and solid. He kept it a few years and sold it to a friend. Have not seen it around recently.
I bought a Yamaha Big Bear recently. It had sat around. Carb did not look bad, so I cleaned it up and it would fire but not run. Rebuild kit, no run. Bought a cheap chinese. Same exact problem. I got thinking maybe it is not a carb problem. It had good spark and good fuel flow. Big money...
Been working in my creek. It just started flowing a couple weeks ago. My son lives about 1/2 mile downstream. It was still soaking in the creek bed between here and there. Might be flowing now.
I don't know a lot about it, but I know they use pins to fix cast iron heads. Not sure of the limitations. They drive tapered pins in and overlap them.
