Just a short report back on my new-to-me 026...with the new chain as mentioned above, it cuts pretty darn good. Better than with that crappy safety chain, for sure. Better than good, for $20 :). Like with many internal combustion engines, it is starting and running better after being used...

I recently needed to lift a 4x6 beam about 1/2 inch from its position on top of a 4x4 post under my front porch. No need to go into the nitty gritty details of why unless someone is really interested...but after removing the T braces that secured the position, I used a pair of old beat up 8...

Nay...Sean means a pad to protect your rope from friction against the rock surface it may bear against in providing climbers protection.

Here's some pics of one of M's many handmade birdhouses that paper wasps have co-opted this summer. She decided to let them keep their nest...don't ask me why :). Anyway, it is sorta beautiful, in a bizarre way.
