What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

After 336 pages, have we determined what a "neck" of woods is?

How busy are you this year compared to other years?

I've had a friends brother, who knows I cut trees, twice not ask me and hire someone else for some simple fells. Even neighbors do that.

Why doesn't he pay you on time? Don't get rusty or out of climbing shape, maybe race him up one at no extra charge, just once.

    Decluttering

It's too inconvenient unless you can use it at that particular angle. Otherwise you run out of propellant in the mean time. I often have trouble with starting fluid cans that aren't nearly full. I have to shake while spraying, or tip up & spray to prime the tube, the tip it into the intake and...

    Decluttering

WD 40 can run out of propellant sometimes leaving you with a good bit left over in the can. That's only half the reason why I drained a few ounces out of a big can. The other reason was that it sprays out as a relatively weak and very foamy stream. I wanted a non foamy high pressure jet for...

    Decluttering

Tip up side down, and slowly drill a hole in the bottom lowest point of the cans, then maybe one in the top too to help the stuff drain into your spray bottle. I just keep it in a jar and syringe it out and apply with a blunt tip needle. I've washed magnesium dust out of Chinese kit saw bearings...

I use 2 stroke oil bottles for extra gas and oil. The 13oz ones, or 6.5oz ones if you want.

Supposedly the rash is relatively rare, like way less than 50% of the cases if I remember correctly. I wouldn't be surprised if I had it for a while.

How often do you change the tubing on your Big Shot?

I'd hate to have it break and hit me. Rubbing alcohol might make a good lube since it is strangely slippery, but dries very fast. 91% would be better than the common 70% so less water is left over and it dries faster.

You have to learn to let the stress go. It's not easy, I know, but you'll get better at it with practice. Put on some good headphones, turn the lights off, and listen, don't watch, to this

The dreaded stripped threads, Husky 572

Saws are mostly magnesium now. I don't know, but magnesium might be easier to fix with a self tapping screw. Manufacturers commonly use them: slightly triangular screws with either machine threads or coarse threads like what's used in plastic. I don't like it because it makes a mess of metal...
