I use an air hose and it works great. I have a air connect on the back of the bucket truck, you can install one pretty cheap. On hot days you can blow air down the front of your pants and it feels great!
What looks thick the finish or the bowl? The finish on it isnt thick its put on real thin and with the decay in the burl he was only able to turn it so much.
I havent used my lathe yet. I kinda wish I looked at the newer ones before I bought the older one. My customer that turns gave my a big box off turning magazines and the newer ones look nice.
I need to tell skwerl thank you. I was up in the bucket yesterday and one of the low pressure lines cracked and I lost controls about 50' up. My ground guy got me down and I got on my phone and the forum to check my PM's for the message skwerl sent with the part number, I was up and running...
I have heard nothing but good things about treestuff. I have always used sherrill through my vermeer dealer but I have been wanting to give them a try. I will be calling them this week to place an order. Good luck
Nice looking truck! I know you already know this but be careful with the chipper and the ropes being so close to the work zone. I dont see your chipper just assuming, its one of my pet peeves.
http://siouxcity.craigslist.org/tls/4176924466.html I have an apointment to look at this lathe today. I have been wanting to get one and start a new hobby. What do you guys think of this one? Is it a nice lathe for the money or should I save the money and buy a nicer one? Thank you for the help.
