Wow, never seen that knot nor this video before and I created an almost identical, novel, midline knot for mechanical advantage also. I named it the "Static Klemheist," except, after posting the video, I realized it's actually a static Hedden. Unlike the knot in the video, mine is tied slightly...

After flying a bucket for two days butchering shat, I really feel I would prefer an electric in the bucket. Toooooo many pull starts

    How'd it go today?

I don't sta.rt so good in the morning. But I try to make up for it in the tree. I'd be all over the stick

Nothing better than being full stick and trying to make a cut and the saw is pushing you out of the cut. It looks like you are using a crosscut saw. Lol

    How'd it go today?

After two hours, it's a stripped pole. Guess we're going to do the other one on Monday. Tomorrow will be a short day, drop a fat ponderosa up by the casino then I've got the rest of the weekend off.

Just around the house I'm happy with grabbing the wimpy Kobalt battery saw for a few convenient cuts. Though, its so wimpy i often give serious thought to getting out the ported 2511t, but its too much noise and exhaust stink for a few cuts around the house.

I don't mind taking it easy, if the pay is the same, though I get tired and sluggish if we slow down too much. I worked for a guy who'd take like an hour and a half to get in the tree. I'm not sure how they manage to be that slow, but otherwise he was pretty good.

You didn't mention having other batteries. That goes a long way picking a tool. Even if a choice isn't the absolute best, extra batteries on hand is a huge feature.

Some monsters are big, others are small. More power than a similar sized petrol saw. I'm going to get the stihl most likely if for no other reason than I'll have other batteries to swap with if I'm running it at the family farm.

I cannot believe any battery saw can be described as ‘monster’ They are not there yet, not near petrol saws at the moment, won’t be long though.

Any closer on which one you want to get? Seems like you really want the Stihl.

I love me some battery powered stuff. Not sure about chainsaws but when it comes to motorbikes and cars, petrol power cannot provide the high power performance that battery power does. Not even close. Electric cars make even the fastest super cars or hotrods seem stupid. The do drastically...

He's a very slow starter... An hour to go from truck to tree is common. Lots of one day jobs take two or three. Whatever, I'm paid well enough to not give a damn.

They commonly leave the nest at that size. I'm not sure why, because they can barely fly, and I've never seen them hunt or get fed out of the nest.

No, that would be a corded saw, not simply an electric. Those are pretty well outdated now as far as chainsaws go. It gives me an idea for a stupid meme: Shut down lithium mines; buy corded cars. It would be neat to be able to tap off the grid on the go like an electric train somehow. Now...
