I hang screnches on a hook in the truck or clip with a carabiner away from the truck (and on my saddle) by a piece of accessory cord or throw line, which is clove hitched around the barrel of the socket end, sometimes incorporating the handle. Works a treat. Rarely lose them. Wore one...

Everthing down the slope survived, only the little dogwood taking a little damage. I'll start the last brush pile on fire in the morning. Friday, I'll get any remnants from the fire spread in the impacted area up the slope, then blow a lot of leaves over the slope. Logs running cross-slope...

I've got a half wrap on my MS261 which makes an OK stumper for many trees with the nose buried, flicking all the dirty away from the kerf rather than dragging it in. 20" chains are easy to sharpen. Full wraps are great in-tree and for limbing. Clearly useful in felling, too. The 261 is...

There was a Saka in there, too! I'll try that tomorrow. David, you should consider the Tree Climbers Guide. Ask around for a good, used sale for sale in your size.

@davidwyby hooked me up with stuff off my Wesspur wishlist of things for helping his friends with those dead doug-firs. I like the compact MA set up! Going to try the EK-12 (a WA rope maker, Maybe Everson) lightweight rigging rope as a 1/2" alternative to 3-strand or retired climbing lines for...

I picked up some Hyperclimb to replace the drenaLine that I bought initially for the Akimbo, many moons ago. I like it. Just used an old vinyl 20 oz throw bag for manipulating my throw line in a draggy deodora cedar at home (coffee break, now). Works a treat. Worth having a really heavy...

Never used one, interested to hear the review. How heavy? How much power? How expensive? Looks like an ice ax handle.

Rinsing and drying your helmet (and cock) at the end of each day will keep it fresher than just stuffing it somewhere, especially without ventilation. The backpack blower will dry it pretty well, I'd bet. The helmet can be done without the help of a coworker.
