    Starter rope

Makes sense, thanks. I have used small string to separate things by wrapping it tightly over itself such that the compression force of each wrap adds to the ones below, and as they try to slip past each other, they wedge things apart. Leverage with string.

How'd this happen? Too many wraps? Slack rope caught in the flywheel?

    The Official Work Pictures Thread

A Vermeer 1000 will jam often enough. I haven't found the exact pattern as to why. The worst was when, due to it's stupid design, someone simultaneously throttled it up and disengaged the clutch, and somehow the feed wheels were still working, ramming a branch into the freewheeling drum. That...

Your're giving it too much air. Sometimes I struggle to get hedge to burn just because I don't give it enough air. Just a little too much, and I get thermal runaway where the hotter it burns, the stronger the draft, and the dense coals radiate a lot of heat. With the air leaks my stove has, I...

    In The News...

3 years is plenty long to unjustly shut away those who are a danger to the current political system. That's a huge problem. These days you can't shrug something like that off for the sake of getting through an innocent back log. Why the backlog in the first place? I don't think the jury would...

Apparently England is trying to do away with trials by jury. I saw the news stories going back at least to the beginning of December.

Got lucky recently with a fence so rotten and covered in moss and lichen, you wonder how it can even stand. Actually it had one small section completely collapsed and of course missing and broken boards here and there. Well an 8ft long piece maybe 6" diameter bounced or fell over onto it without...

The new Stihls need a kickstand. They must have hired Husqy engineers.

If they're so reliable, you shouldn't ever need one, unless that's the one unreliable part in high demand.

I can cut and split 1 rick per hour with a hydraulic splitter from TSC. Then, it's best to try to get people to pick up. Some don't care to measure, if they have a full bed, that's enough for them, or I can stack or count a pile ahead of time. Of course mistakes happen and we let our guard...
