I am at a bit of a loss...I know there should be a little banner or some such on the homepage that notifies of today's birthdays...but I saw neither @CurSedVoyce nor @Mrs.B. Any ideas, you bright ones? Can I make sure somehow that it's on my display?

It's a good one. My father swore by it. Born and raised in Charleston, S.C....which is about as close to being an Englishman as someone from the states can get, or so it was in his generation :).

Roof does appear to be holding water, but more like ponding due to sag than poor drainage. Sell them gutter cleaning anyway :)...can't hurt.

You can buy a good older second hand one in OR, WA, ID for less than it would cost in materials, I think. Shipping would kill the deal, of course...but if you were traveling this way anyhoo :).
