Looks good. I would weld a washer on the end of the bolt with a nut welded on to the washer. That way you could thread it in a few turns and clean up any boogers on the threads from drilling. The washer trick works better than a nut anyway. Easier to get a good weld than through a nut.

Depends if the bolt has threads all the way up to the head that broke off. Take another bolt out to see.

Fels Naptha laundry soap is the old standby. Fast Orange is good. Anything that cuts grease and oil. Wouldn't hurt to have it right on the job site and wash every hour if you are very allergic. Pretty miserable stuff.

Wash within an hour, preferably less. I have not got it in years doing it that way. Other than my sisters friendly dog rubbing it on me.

They claim American Indians used to do that. Also read you can get it in your throat. Scary.
