    We were too far away to use the jib. Maybe we could’ve but never even checked the charts. And I don’t carry a jib on my crane. It does affect capacities having it stowed.

    A mix of hardwoods- red oak, red maple, norway maple, sugar maple, black locust, beech, hickory ( no fun to split lol), black birch.

    Right, if you were negative rigging, it sounded like you needed more height 😅 Different charts for different cranes, that specific crane you could get considerably more height at 100’, but your capacity decreases by ~40%. Most cranes have a deduct for the jib being stowed .

    The class wasn’t that hard but I’ve had a lot of operating experience for other machines and I was the go to “rigger” for the crane op when I was in construction. @lumberjack chart is not favorable at 100’ but better than the 38/127. He has a jib but at that radius it’s no advantage. Jibs...
