    A slipped splice is a failed splice. It's possible it could be reset, but cutting it off and resplicing is better logic.

    Not blooming...but the buds are swelling on the osoberry, which is our earliest blooming native shrub hereabouts. Usually happens in February, blooms a few weeks after that. Crazy weather.

    My other thought on the matter is less stroke for your knee ascender if in use. So 3" less stroke on the knee ascender becomes a bigger deal for me.
