Bucket pole saw work annoys me. You lose a ton of motion to the bucket/boom movement. Often I'll exit the bucket and work off rope for that crap. Tree species dependant of course.

He will have his cell phone and hearing aids tomorrow. Th at will help a great deal.

From the bucket is certainly preferable but I'd say either way is kind of annoying but certainly the better alternative in many scenarios.

I like a pole saw from a bucket I mean if I have to I’d prefer a big saw at the stump on the ground ! 😁

Wrecked another HOA declining alder in the greenbelt, along a road to 2 schools. Cable line along the road on this side. Pole saw'ed the top from small wood and multiple trunks until I could hinge and manually tip it parlellel to the truck and wire. Chunked it into the greenbelt. No clean up!

He's out of recovery, awake and talking to mom. Guess all went well. Never contacted us after recovery, he just fell off the screen of patient progress. Gives your heart a jump. I was reminded today that I despise working in the snow. Only 4 inches but that’s enough for me. Spent the day chasing dead wood in two large trees. Then got a start on a large maple reduction.

7 days into a 10 day project - it’s the biggest one I have ever taken on and the schedule is really tight. Approximately 200 trees along a well used walkway, which is on an old railway line. We have only had to climb 9 trees so far, but I sort of cheated….

Anesthesia is usually worse than the surgical intervention. Friend's 94 year old Dad had hip replacement post-fall a month ago and he is just now starting to get his mental clarity back.

That's rough. Fingers crossed. Old folks and falls are a bad but frequent combination.
