    Is the ultra sling ultra?

I like them. Super fast to install. Can be a little slack at times but I find that negligible for most applications. When those situations arrive I get a dead eye and cow hitch it then. Problem is they require a lot of material to make. Not really a big deal.

    How'd it go today?

It went. Rain day yesterday and snow day today. Not a major storm but the boss didn’t want trucks on the road till people remember how to drive in the snow. I still go in on these days. Getting caught up on paperwork and such. Think I finished my order for gear. Only added $1100 to the total...

What Did Ya'll Have For Dinner Tonight?

Second thanksgiving dinner here. My wife’s aunt brings a turkey over every year the Sunday after for me to deep fry. Turns out ok. I prefer to inject and rub at least a day early but it shows up about the time the oil is hot. We’re all stuffed again. 23 minutes till the pie Is done. Hopefully...

I get that but are they actually teaching them how to use the sights both ways? Most guys I come across who claim experience don’t even know what those lines on the saw are. Teaching “noobs” is teaching the basics. I get that as well. I’ve bitten my tongue at plenty of training courses that say...

Sorry. I just know. I don’t need to see the chain make the cut. I make my base, then the top angled cut. Angle will vary for what I need but it ends up right first try. I don’t think I’m racist but maybe I am. I won’t drink tequila because once you let one Mexican in you invite the whole damn...

Sorry. In my inebriated state I can not remember the word that @BeerGeek used to describe me. Basically I’m not the norm. I’m the one that goes against that. Basically I screw up the “mean” Edit. Took a few minutes. I’m the anomaly

If I do top cut first I’ll just say it, the notch is proper fooked. I’ve tried. Do my flat first and I don’t let off the throttle or even really need to look and can match the angled cut. All how one is taught. Very seldom do I have to adjust because I miss. When I do I quickly blame it on...

    How'd it go today?

Compensate for when under load so there isn’t sag is my guess. made a big breakfast this morning and have been spending the day doing odd things around the house. Trying to get some stuff done before visiting my parents. Dogs got in the creek so I just finished towel drying them and they get to...

    How'd it go today?

Just noticed that you have a blue and green version of basically the same rope. Might or might not be the same. Short lengths are great for lanyards or friction savers if you can splice. Splicing 16 is hard on the hands though. Wear gloves for the bury.

    How'd it go today?

The BRW is a great climbing line. 16 strand is very durable. Just remember the core on that rope has nothing to do with its strength. A couple of cover strands cut is a huge deal.

    How'd it go today?

No big deal. Local supply just got a spool in. Reason I was asking is that is the bridge on my saddle. Technically speaking, to replace it with anything else is not legit. BRW is the same rope as Hawkeye as far as I’m concerned but in the event of an incident I know that insurance companies will...

The centers seem to rot out on locust but the wood stays hard as hell forever. It’s good stuff. Looks like you got some BRW in that bag-o-rope. Wanna sell a 15’ piece?

    How'd it go today?

Nice day here. Pruned a few oaks and maples away from a house roof this morning and raised up and deadwood a large spreading red oak this afternoon. Also raised up a Norway spruce that I traversed to when finishing the red oak. Have to go back in the morning to finish raking though. Gets dark to...

    How'd it go today?

We use a machine like that a lot CV. We have a big Rayco that we own and also rent one on a large rubber tracked skid steer when needed. Just chews everything up into mulch. Typically on clearing jobs we grind the stumps first and then “Mow”. Leaves everything looking clean and ready for...
