Fruitless Mulberry.
Morus alba.
Been pollarding this one for years.
Couple of the leads are showing decay. One is dying. The smallest of 5. Those will come off next year. Leaving the 3 larger.
I would expect that cutting with a lean pulls more fiber with a standard backcut as the hinge is only cut until its time to exit.
A backstrap trigger for a bore cut would allow a thinner hinge if desirable.
The red one is much prettier
Also not exactly apples to apples. Red is running 34” of full comp chiselbit and 461 30” of skip. The wood feels like cottonwood, a little harder but fibrous. Drag on the chain.
I haven’t figured out why but I miss shots with the Jonny.
The stihl has more torque, the Jonny is faster. I think they tend that way from the factory but the way they were ported makes it more so.
461 resists dust in it’s air filter and clutch better.
Yes. The one my FIL used to be the superintendent at. :-/ one of them anyway. Getting a makeover so we just had to keep them off the greens.
Almost had to walk on water.
Ran the 461 and 2175 back to back all day. I think the stihl is better.
A screw pin anchor shackle, aka clevis.
1” I think.
That was my first thought too but I don’t have that trouble with my cat chokers that don’t have a thimble. They said galvanized cable is brittle sometimes. I imagine an OEM Warn cable would be fine.
