It appears to me that they had a log laid out next to that pile of leaves/debris that would have caught the fork that would have hit first. I’ve dumped some big trees onto pavement before, with plenty of logs/limbs laid out strategically to absorb impact. I’d have put at least two lines in...

1/2” insurance is real cheap, hone up on your throw ball skills.

That being said, I think I'm finally ordering some 1/2", I have 3 trees that rigging would help.

Beautiful for this time of year. Sunny, mid 40s, and calm. Think I will get the bike out for one last ride. Been too busy to ride to much this year. I should be slowing down at 72, right? I guess its good to keep moving.

Not running out of work. Steady simmer. I've got a guy I know asking to work for me. He's got his own fledgling biz.

It's been going. Not much use out of it this summer and fall. Lots of pruning, no clean-up. Ready when needed...8xx hours on it, 11 years old.
