What's y'all's thoughts on insurance? Do you think that the companies I work for along the way will provide it or should I buy before I travel? Or maybe it's half and half, in the the companies might pay liability but workers comp is on me? What are your thoughts?

I did another Aztec splice last night and loaded it before whipping. Worked nice. Thanks for the help. (And for the original instruction at the splicing course at treestuff, Nick!)

I already whipped it, and it's been climbed on. It almost seems like when I stitched the crossover it created the bump. If that bump appears in the next splice I'll try that trick before I whip it. Thanks

I also spliced a lanyard out of teufelberger reep schnur (or however you spell it) and have a pesky bump. I trust these splices, but am annoyed that they aren't as beautiful as they could be. Recommendations? Tips?

I have a problem getting little bumps from my crossovers. I stitch them to make them more compact and maybe I stitch them a little unevenly? How much do you think this effects the strength? The aztec is my splice, the tachyon is ABR

Yeah, I called them and now we're thinking it might be the spindle shaft. I'm taking it back to them so we'll see. Hope this works :/:

Took it to an industrial supply store that specializes in wood working equipment and is also a JET dealer. They found that the spindle pulley assembly was shot, and they replaced a few of the bearings for good measure. This process took almost 2 months because the spindle pulley was on backorder...
