    Today I was dumb and cheated death, or injury really. I was standing on a couple logs on the trailer, cut another off a tree being held by the tele. Of course when it came loose, it knocked the ones I was standing on off the trailer. Incredibly, I did the logger log rolling game all the way down...

    I worked quite extensively with the Redding Smokejumpers as well as several other jump base teams in training as tree climbers and instructors. Always impressive folks to be around. I think I have crossed paths with Mitch in my time with the USFS treeclimbing cadre...when he was a youngster...

    Trimming Spruce, How Far is Too Far?

    I would think tipping should help some lateral growth for fullness if you are trying to reveal a view past the tip and block a house in view by growing the branch in a bushier way, provided there is enough sun.
