You can trim the flare to create room/shape to cut a gob. I’ve never seen anyone trim a flare as a gob.

Pricing today, got all three jobs, ranging from an easy retopping of a sugar maple to this ash dismantle. Roofs and wires everywhere. Put two good days money on it. Trust me it’s not mega, but bigger than it looks, all climbing and rigging.
