So one pic has shiny spots on the Rigguy, the other is a nice little melted end, and the other shows melting of the zinc coating. This was the cable in the tree half that exploded.
So we removed the tree today and the cable certainly looks struck. I’ll get a pic tomorrow. The end of one of the strands is melted over and there are shiny spots on the Rigguy, looking like arc marks to me.

I have it plated at 26,000. Air breaks aren’t a thing until you get into the 33,000 gvw trucks or bigger trucks. It’s the subtle differences between countries lol
I think I’m good to tow 38,000 with the 5500. That’s just a lot, 7000 pound chipper is all it will ever see. I’ve had it stuffed with logs many times and many tons lol.
