Its wet....think water pouring out of the cut. Almost as bad as cottonwood. Had a 4' trunk I was cutting 12-14" off of, 084, 36" bar, there was so much water pouring out with the chips creating drag...I couldn't cut it. I was soaked from the waist down....and stunk like piss, because cottonwood...

Our DNR has just announced we have a breeding population of Cougars in the UP.....pics of 2 cubs taken on private property. It must have hurt them bad to admit that, they denied for years they were even in Michigan. Ed

Our family farm (where my shop is) has everything underground as well. Dad and grandpa ran underground power to 2 outbuildings....buried it in a plow furrow. Be danm carefull where you stick a shovel. Ed

Our weather has finally broke after 2 months of freezing temps, 2days in the 50's was a welcome change. 2 hours in the woods got me 2 nice dead ash, they were down, but supported off the ground. Still decent firewood. Ed

A friend had a male GS. Great dog, wouldn't leave the yard....until he smelled a dead deer on my adjoining property. He would then drag it home, one body part at a time and eat it.... We spent many hours looking for Zeuss's "stash" of deer parts. Yes, I do miss that danm dog! Ed
