Three strand splicing I started on the crab boat.. tying pot ties..
basically 3-4 foot dead eye slings to lash pots together on deck.
We used the yellow shitty Home Depot line for it, disposable.
These things are great for lashing loads of brush together for dragging.. choker leads if u will.
This is old stuff 90’s, I bought this off my old boss in 2006 as a retirement gift.. a Hobbs device and block for $800 cash.

it’s adjustable wrench is kinda nice wasn’t expecting to like it or anything but the original…
however it was nice to adjust so that the hitch barely held me which made breaking the hitch so much...
