And that explains why I don't have one... But hey.. Don't mean I cant want one :D

If I had 1.2 million dollars I sure as hell wouldn't be buying a tractor with it. It has a 525 gal. fuel tank. I want a D-9. Random tractor thoughts. You'd have the whole county stripped bare if you had one of those.

JK Steve in a sense. Diversity is my mainstay and I would actually incorporate a big CAT into more fire fighting contracting. Also development of properties. Our super selling point with hand clearing is smaller foot print in the woods. Less erosion etc. But a 30 HP or like it forestry mower could be used in a lot of what we do and be more portable with less DOT issues. :)
And like we discussed previously, would also work well in orchards when we can't burn anymore. :D
But a big CAT would be nice to contract out to CDF and for BLM clearing for fire roads and what not :)
And I aint getting any younger... PHD levers will go a long way in 20 years ;)

Caterpillar 101...

I used to work part time for a backhoe dude.

Fun times...not, well it was OK...

After the Yellow jackets, almost having my foot torn off, and wall of dirt collapse behind me (not all at the same time!)...

I ran up in a tree and never came down.
