Check out this guy: Tree Boi 4 Life

He has 20,000 times as many channel views as I do with great videos on:

I like how he reached UNDER the saw to hold the limb. He would've increased his safety score ten-fold by just reaching OVER the saw.

Honestly though, I must admit this would be the first black tree climber I ever saw!

i invited him to check out the treehouse back in january. he seems like a well meaning dude, just needs some educating. i guess he never showed though.

I don't know Nick, I would rather watch these vids that some yahoo greenhorn over pruning a tree and stripping the interior of all foliage...all in high speed. At least Tree Boi seems to care about trees and not just making a buck.

I totally agree about the saw thing. I thought the exact same thing when I saw that vid. He seems to kind of know some stuff but I don't think he has a ton of experience.

True that ... I took a Bartlett seminar a few years ago. The instructor said they get more workmen's comp claims from handsaw injuries than all other injuries combined. ... thought that was interesting.

That hurts Eric. The only reason I make them high speed is because no one wants to watch my unnecessary, excessive, and exorbitantly priced pruning in real time.

I hope thats not how you really feel! :(

No way man. I wound never judge anyone's work from a vid like the ones you put up. I couldn't see enough detail to even begin to have an opinion.
It's almost like being asked to judge a pruning solely on how the tree looks after the work is completed. You have no idea what the tree looked like before, what was dead, what was crossing, what was cracked, what had weak branch attachments, what was causing clearance issues. You get the point. About all you can really judge is if they made proper pruning cuts at the collar. In your vids about all you can judge is that you know how to climb on a rope and that you can make branches fall off a tree... if that's actually you in the vids.

From what I remember I couldn't tell if you had a hand saw, chainsaw, or if you used some Jedi mind tricks to make the branches fall.

I've known a couple, one at moment who works for APHIS in Chicago, runs a crew there and is very good...an innovative fellow.

James is a classic. For old times sake...
