Traditional vs Floating Bridge Saddles

At least Blair uses big D rings on his saddles, instead of those stinkin teeny tiny one's!

What about a wire core rope for a bridge? It would be cut resistant. The only negative I can think would be the constant tight bending radius on the wire core. Would it wear and fail prematurely?
 
I don't think any climber in the world likes tiny dees.

I also can't believe that there are climbers who make so little money that they can't afford to replace their saddle every few years.
