As aggresive as you say it is, how do you know it's not bad for your ropes/life support?


I don't know that it is or isn't, but I only did that 3-hr soak once, and it was way too much oxi-clean. The ropes looked fine, no diff except the color shift. I usually wash ropes in Tide if they go thru the machine, or "spot" clean with the Oxi stuff.

Bought some of this stuff from the Stihl dealer. Didn't work at all compared to the Oxi-clean.

A bit more on cost but Olive Oil smells better than Veggie Oil. Last time I used it I soaked my ropes in it then washed them to get the oil off. When I tied a VT hitch the same way I had tied it before it wouldn't even bite! Added another wrap and braid then I was good to go. I have heard of guys bringing spray bottle up in tree with them.
