SRT redirect sling cord

I am going to make a few retrievable redirects with some hitch cord and rings. I just used the last of my Ocean 10 mm for some eye to eye's for hitches.
I have plenty of 8 mm Ocean. Can I use that or should I order more 10 mm for the extra strength? What is the minimum recommended strength for redirect type slings?

I would stick with the 23Kn ratings for life support, if memory serves me correctly you'd be fine (just double check my memory).
