Spur Footplates

One downside for sure is the additional weight...a set adds nearly a pound to each spur. That said, one of my climbing partners swore by them. Not for me, but that's the way it is with ALL climbing gear, no?

The extra weight makes no difference at all because you will be standing on top of it.
 
My poor old flat feet got ruined from years and years of working off rung ladders and occasional pole climbing .When I did some climbing I wore Red Wing lace to toe linemans boots with steel shanks which helped some .

The best which because of my work changing I don't wear any more has been metal formed orthetics which go inside the work boots .

Now that helped the feet .What to do for the knees I have no idea .
